How does a course of ten sessions get booked?
BookingDeskPro books one session at a time. That fits a course, because the right gap between sessions changes as the patient improves.
- The patient books an assessment of 45 minutes online.
- At the end of the assessment, the therapist tells the desk when the next session should be.
- The desk books it with the same therapist. The patient gets a confirmation and a reminder.
- The patient can also book the next session from their own link, at a time that suits them.
Can I book home visits and online sessions?
Yes to both. Add Home visit as a service with its own length, which is longer to allow for travel. Ask the patient to put the address in the note when they book.
For video sessions, add a location marked online. It needs no address, and your booking page shows it as Online.
Does a patient get the same therapist each time?
Yes, if they choose her. Each physiotherapist is a calendar, and a patient who picks Dr. Nair sees only Dr. Nair's free times. A patient who does not mind can choose Any available.
Physiotherapists ask
During set-up, which type of business do I pick?
Pick Clinic or hospital. The product calls each calendar a doctor. To show Physiotherapist instead, change the word in settings.
Is BookingDeskPro treatment records software?
No. It does not store assessments, exercise plans, or progress notes. It holds the bookings and the reminders.
Can a patient see all their upcoming sessions?
Yes. A patient signs in to the customer portal with a code sent to their email and sees their bookings. They can move a session from there until your change cut-off.
What if a patient needs to move a session at short notice?
You set a change cut-off. Before it, the patient reschedules from the link in the confirmation. After it, they call the clinic, and your front desk moves the booking from the console.
